resume tailoring

One resume per job.
Ten minutes each.

Recruiters can smell a generic resume from across the internet. But rewriting yours from scratch for every application is a second job nobody pays you for. Paste the job — DashApply builds a version that speaks its language, shows you every change, and lets you keep or kill each one.

nothing hidden

Every change, marked. Nothing slips past you.

This is what a tailored resume actually looks like inside DashApply: the match score up top, removed lines struck through, new lines highlighted — all tied to the specific job you’re applying for.

The score isn’t a mystery number. Open the breakdown, see which parts of your resume match the posting and which don’t, then flip between Changes and Preview to inspect the result.

Like what you see? Download the PDF, generate a matching cover letter, or head straight to the application — all from the same screen.

fair questions

Things people ask about resume tailoring.

Isn’t tailoring just keyword-stuffing?+

No — and recruiters can tell the difference. Tailoring in DashApply reframes your real experience around what the role actually asks for: which achievements lead, which skills get named, which details get cut. If it isn’t true about you, it doesn’t go in.

Do I lose my original resume?+

Never. Your base resume stays untouched. Each tailored version is saved separately, attached to the job it was made for — so six months from now you’ll know exactly which resume went to which company.

What if I don’t like a suggestion?+

Revert it, edit it, or ignore it. Every change is visible in the Changes view before you download anything, and Edit mode lets you rewrite any line yourself. You approve every word.

How is this different from the Close Gaps feature?+

Tailoring produces the first job-specific version. Close Gaps is the optional second pass: it shows you the remaining gaps between your resume and the role, and lets you strengthen the ones that are true about you. Most people do both — it takes about ten minutes total.

Stop sending the same resume everywhere.

Paste a job posting. Ten minutes later, you’ll have a version that was made for it.
